Glenbrook Hyundai Telemarketing
I have said before I was not just an employee of Glenbrook Hyundai but I was also a customer. Yes, I actually bought a car from these crooks while I was employed there.
July 3rd 2025 at 3:52 pm I got a call from a salesman at Glenbrook Hyundai. August 5th 2025 at 1:00 pm and August 6th 2025 at 1:39 pm I got calls (hang-up after about 30 seconds) from the company shuttle phone. Ongoing harassment from this company for many years now.
3 calls in 35 days now, and counting. I told them take me off your lists and leave me alone, this how they 'leave me alone'. I am sick of their harassment!
About 5 years after I purchased this vehicle I get a phone call from the sales department asking me if I still owned it. This was also 2 years after I was fired for bringing some of their crimes to the public. This is just more harassment and ongoing criminal activity from them against me.
I have had the same phone number for over 25 years and it has been on the INDIANA Do Not Call List as well as the NATIONAL Do Not Call List since 2004. By calling me they are breaking the Indiana do not call laws as well as telemarketing laws, but that is just business as usual for Glenbrook Hyundai. I filed a complaint with the Indiana Attorney General, see link below.
From my research I have also discovered that in the state of Indiana they are only allowed to call you for up to 18 months after you make a purchase. This is just to make sure you are satisfied and if you might have any questions or concerns. UNLESS you have told them to stop calling you, in which case they are breaking the law by calling you and therefore harassing you.
So regardless of how you look at this situation they BROKE MULTIPLE LAWS by calling me! Still harassing me years after I worked there!
Why does Glenbrook Hyundai allow the sales people to make cold calls from their cell phones? Why do they not use the company phones? Caller ID, maybe. Or possibly the fact that every phone call, coming and going, from the store is recorded. Maybe they don't want all that evidence of their own crimes being stored on their own equipment! Plausible deniability? Remember, this company never does anything wrong...it is ALWAYS the "disgruntled" employees!
They like to dig deep into previous sales customers personal information from years and even decades ago to make cold calls and try and drum up business. Many customers have complained about the old 'bait and switch' technique still being used by some of their sales people.
So here I have more proof of Glenbrook Hyundai blatantly breaking more laws while harassing me again and again. The reason I made this blog in the first place was to let the public know about their crimes and corruption and they just keep making it easier for me by giving me more and more evidence against them as the years go by.
When I drove the shuttle for the service department I would listen to customers telling me stories like this almost on a daily basis, it is an ongoing practice apparently. I shared an office with the receptionist and would also hear customers come into the building and complain to management about not only phone calls but the never ending mail that was sent to them. Management always blamed it on 'third party' entities that were 'out of their control'. Again, never the company that is at fault, always somebody else!
I searched "indiana telemarketing fines" and found this;
"In Indiana, telemarketers who violate "Do Not Call" provisions or other telemarketing regulations can face significant fines, potentially reaching $10,000 for the first violation and $25,000 for each subsequent violation."
